How to install the JibCap
The JibCap is easily Installed in four (4) steps before the jib sail is hoisted.
When the JibCap installation is complete, hoist your sail. Special Note: Some Sailors prefer the JibCap be a contrasting color to the Jib Leech.
Step 1): Attach the furling shackle to the jib head web loop / S.S. Ring.
Step 2): Place the JibCap center flap (the smallest flap) through the furling shackle covering the web loop or through the ring covering the stitch lashing The hook & loop strap needs to be facing outward.
Step 3): Wrap the side flap that has hook & loop straps on each side around the jib head and attach to the center flap.
Step 4): Wrap the remaining flap (the largest flap) around the jib head and atteched to the hook & loop straps of the other side flap. All hook and loop straps should be covered. If Jib luff tape extends to the web loop, wrap the flap around the furling alum foil. Fit snug but not too tight. Some portion of unused H & L maybe be exposed
